we're ready at last! drive to sydney in the morning, leave the bags, return the car and head for agnsw to see the archibald, then have a look at the bald archies and lunch by the harbour probably and drift around until it's time to go back and check in for our flight - overnight to bangkok and then on to arrive at chengdu at around 3pm.
we seem to have managed to squeeze everything into our bags - adrian's weighs 15kg and mine is 13kg so not too heavy. even the hand luggage is ok - nothing like that qantas flight cath when the steward nearly got a hernia from putting our bag up into the overhead locker.
hope we'll find a few internet cafes which will let us add to this - if not, it's back to the postcards.
